Day 53 and 54: Cooking dinner

Slept in today and recovered a bit from the weekend.

Went to work.

Came home.

Cooked a yummy dinner:

CAM00643 sauteed zucchini and bell peppers in olive oil and some spicy french mustard. gouda cheese toast.

Skyped with parents.

Watched The Newsroom.

Bed time! 🙂

Went to work.

Did some research for my WISP presentation. Interviewed Thomas for it.

Watched/helped Hartwig complete a genotyping sequence using PCR. Cool stuff.

We had an incredible thunderstorm today, which seem to be rare here. It was pouring, thundering and lighting, hailing, and the was wind blowing everything sideways. It was so impressive that we all went into the staircase to watch. 🙂

I really love how it smells here after it rains. Even in the middle of a city it smells like freshly mowed grass and cow manure (yes, I like the smell of both!).

It was still raining a little when I left work, so I got a tad wet.

Cooked a delicious dinner of schnupfnudlen with roasted zucchini and bell peppers. I also had some spicy french mustard with it. YUMM

I also now have some johannesbeer. I have no idea what they are called in English, but they are very popular in Germany, and very tasty.
